Vaginal Polyps



The ksharsutra act as chhedya (excision), Bhedya(incision), Ropan(healing power) and chemical cauterization of tissue by property of its alkaline nature which facilitates cutting of tissue. Due to alkaline (PH- >9.2) of ksharsutra. It acts antibacterial at site of ligation.

What is a vaginal polyp?

Overgrowth of cells in the lining of the uterus (endometrium) leads to the formation of uterine polyps, also known as endometrial polyps. These polyps are usually noncancerous (benign), although some can be cancerous or can eventually turn into cancer (precancerous polyps)

What are the symptoms of cervical polyps?

Symptoms :
1. vaginal discharge that may be foul-smelling if an infection is present.
2. a heavier flow during periods.
3. spotting between periods.
4. bleeding after sexual intercourse.
5. bleeding after douching.
6. bleeding after the menopause.

Do cervical polyps need to be removed?

Cervical polyps are growths of tissue on the cervix that are usually non-cancerous and don't typically cause symptoms. However, a small percentage of cervical polyps can undergo changes that make them precancerous or cancerous. For this reason, it's advisable to have cervical polyps removed via polypectomy.

Do cervical polyps cause pain?

Cervical polyps rarely cause pain. Even though they push through the opening of the cervix they are generally too small and too soft to dilate the cervix and cause pain.

Can polyps go away on their own?

In premenopausal women, polyps often go away on their own and may require no additional treatment if you are not having symptoms and have no other risk factors. In some cases, uterine polyps are precancerous and need to be removed.

Do polyps cause pain?

This is the most common symptom of polyps, although it can also be a sign of other conditions, such as hemorrhoids or minor tears in the anus. Abdominal pain. Large polyps that partially block the bowel can cause abdominal cramps and pain.

Does stress cause polyps?

This study suggests that patients who experienced total life events may be at higher risk of having colon polyps and adenomas which indicates an association between stress and the development of colorectal polyps.

Can polyps be cured?

Most treatments are shown to improve symptoms and discomfort associated with nasal polyps. None are proven to get rid of nasal polyps completely.
